Winner of Two 2015 Prism Awards

This month, Sims Luxury Builders picked up TWO Houston’s Best Prism Awards for Best Custom Home Design ($2 Million+) and Best Custom Home Bathroom (Home Over $1 Million). Both awards were for a unique contemporary home built in the Lake Pointe community of Sugar Land.

Aurora Launch Party

Our Aurora launch party benefitting Dec My Room was a success. We’d like to extend a special thank you to the organization’s founder Kendall Plank for working to improve the lives of children enduring extended hospital stays. This event marked the grand opening of our Aurora Sales Center at 1111 Uptown Park Blvd Suite 12. Particularly special was the fact that Alan Ritchie of Philip Johnson / Alan Ritchie Architects traveled down to Houston to attend.

 

Aurora

Following a successful pre-construction phase for our first luxury condominium project Riva, we are now embarking on a similar journey with the introduction of Aurora, a high-rise condominium development at 4906 Tilbury Drive in the Galleria area.  Aurora will stand 16 stories tall and will hold 40 units, as well as a rooftop terrace, a pet-grooming station, fitness facility, a pool and a full-time concierge. Most condominiums will be between 3,400 to 4,000 square feet, while four two-story penthouses will run as large as 6,400 square feet.

Aurora was designed by Philip Johnson / Alan Ritchie Architects, the firm founded by the late Philip Johnson who designed some of Houston’s most recognizable buildings, from Pennzoil Place to Williams Tower.

Introducing Laguna: A Sims Luxury Builders Townhome Project

Construction on our custom townhome project in Sugar Land has begun!  We are excited to build on the last remaining parcel of land in this townhome subdivision of Lake Pointe.

Sims Luxury Builders Team Jobsite Visit

Every couple of months, our Sims Luxury Builders team visits a job site or two together, usually as a home approaches completion. This is a wonderful way for the back office team to see what’s happening in the field, and for our field personnel to learn from each other’s work. Our most recent jobsite visits were to homes in the communities of Riverstone and Sienna Plantation.

2013 CASA Christmas Home Tour

One of the very special causes that CSCH supports each year is that of Child Advocates of Fort Bend, which focuses on helping abused and neglected children in our county. The organization will hold their 22nd annual Christmas Home Tour this weekend on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the lavish holiday decorations and delicious refreshments at each home along the tour.  We are proud that a Christopher Sims home in Riverstone will be included this year.  Click here to visit our website portfolio of the home that will be featured on the tour.

• With tour expenses at only 3% in 2011, most of the money raised goes directly into services for the children.
• More than 2,000 guests visit the tour each year.

• Nearly 1,500 volunteers lend their time and talent to put on this event each year.

Community Spotlight: Saddlebrook (Memorial Area)

While building a home in this subdivision during the past two years, we have become quite charmed by Saddlebrook.  The privacy and seclusion that this neighborhood offers through its private gated entry, natural wooded vegetation and tranquil ravine are incredibly rare in the heart of a big city.  Saddlebrook is located right outside of loop 610, northeast of where Memorial Drive meets Chimney Rock and just south of I-10.
